Here's a look at the most expensive diamonds ever sold. Sparkling colorless, pretty pinks and beautiful blues - what they all have in common is timeless beauty and unparalleled value.
- The Archduke Joseph: $21.4 Million - In November 2012, this 76.02 carat diamond set a new record for the most expensive colorless diamond per carat ever sold at auction. Originally discovered in the Golconda mines in India, the cushion-shaped diamond was named for Austria's Archduke Joseph August, the great-grandson of a Roman emperor and a French king.
- The Perfect Pink: $23.2 Million - This rectangular, emerald-cut diamond was named for its intense pink color. Discovered in India, it weighs 14.23 carats. - The Wittelsbach-Graff: $23.4 Million - This deep blue 31.06 carat diamond has a royal past. In 2008, the stone was re-cut and named the Wittelsbach-Graff.
